Mac and Billy 'M' by McPrice Myers Cabernet Sauvignon Paso Robles 2022
Cabernet sauvignon. Under $15. Say WHAT?! Crazy good Paso cab, at a ludicrously ga-ga BEST in the USA PRICE!!! Ride on, cowboys!
We featured this once before, and in the immortal words of Monty Python…“and there was much rejoicing.” Welp, we’re tossing that holy hand grenade of a deal once more into the world, and you don’t want to miss it! Paso cabernet for FOURTEEN AMERICAN DOLLARS?!! A scintillating 60% OFF the winery price?? And with a solid 91 POINTS from Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate? Sign. Me. UP!!!
Made by THE McPrice “Mac” Meyers, no less – a legendary figure in the Paso Robles wine scene, too? YES, YES, and more yes! There are times when we just have to ask how we luck into these incredible deals. BUT!! Now is not the time to answer such queries – now is the time to fly, my little wine angels!
What’s it like, you ask?! How will it make my bolognese shine, my burger radiate, my grilled veggies amaze? First – the aromatics…pure dynamite, baby! Freshly roasted coffee? Maybe with a Turkish flair and that earthy, spiced hint of cardamom? Oh, yeah! Toss in a bowlful of blackberries, and red cherries, some savory smoke, and saddle leather, with this black licorice, Andes mint, and cigar box quality too? I am super-stoked on this…a decidedly pop-n-pour price for a wine that has way, WAY more going on than it reasonably should. The fruit is coming from some tippy-top Paso vineyards like Adelaida, Estrella, El Pomar, Creston, Geneseo, Bootjack Ranch, Lago…and MORE! Juicy but with some serious New Yorker crosswalk attitude: “Hey yo, I’m cabernet over here”! Exceptionally compelling – even EXPLOSIVE, I’d say – at the paltry price of just fourteen bucks…any way you slice it.
Now, here’s the catch…we didn’t get as much as last time, so load up while you can…Paso Robles cab, with 91 POINTS and a simply thrilling $14 price? Not long for this world, folks.
Happy Saturday!!!
