Say “Alpha Omega” in a certain crowd of wine nuts and prepare to have many heads swivel in your direction with looks of barely-contained lust (unless they are also Greek theology experts, then it might also get really confusing). This winery is ON FIRE right now, with so many of its wines getting huge press (not to mention all of winemaker Jean Hoefliger's OTHER 95-100-point projects!), it’s hard for us to imagine ever scoring any. UNTIL TODAY, baby! What a price! A miracle of sorts to even HAVE any to sell!


What's so cool about this wine? Well, it's basically the same Jeb Dunnuck 93-POINT Napa Valley Chardonnay you know and is sold at the winery ($78 FYI), but with the French oak omitted to accentuate its pure, unsullied Chardonnay fruit. We are the ONLY place to find this little gem, and we bought every bottle we could. A pure expression of a slice of sweet green apple, drizzled with a bit of lemon curd, and sprinkled with orange flower water. Yup, SERIOUSLY, that is it. Super fresh and clean, with a nice fresh acidity note that nicely balances with the whispers of vanilla and quince (although not in an oaky way, as this has no oak on it). Straight YUM, terrifyingly easy to drink -- and you saw that price, right?? C'mon!! Alpha Omega, kids!!

About The Producer

A former scholarship athlete and baseball star at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, Robin Baggett aimed for a career in the major leagues — in grapes not baseball. An attorney whose law career included an eight-year stint as General Counsel to the NBA’s Golden State Warriors, Robin launched his wine business in 1988 as a grape grower after purchasing 3000 acres of land.  He planted over 800 acres of grapes and in 1998 founded Tolosa winery in San Luis Obispo, where he is currently the managing partner. Long before they wed, Robin introduced Michelle to the wine industry, and it was she who created the name and the brand for their future venture together, Alpha Omega.
