Cobblestone Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve Atlas Peak Napa Valley 2014
Need more cab? HERE'S YOUR ANSWER! 10 years young. Perfectly aged and ready to POP! OVER 68% OFF and coming at you for the cray-cray unreal price of…just $25!!! TWENTY-FIVE DOLLARS!!
Oh, yes – back by popular demand, in response to a never-ending barrage of emails, DMs, and unsolicited carrier pigeons – COBBLESTONE is back! The glorious 2014 vintage. CABERNET SAUVIGNON – from a single estate vineyard way, way up on Atlas Peak…who’s ready for THIS?!?!
Up at 1500 feet, this is a structured, beautifully layered, mountain cabernet with gob-smacking intensity and impenetrable depth. Rich mocha, boysenberry pie, plus violets, crème de cassis, blueberries, and red cherries...just impeccable elegance and softness – as the best 2014 Napa cabs are known for! The 1,500 feet of elevation and the rocky slopes of Atlas Peak lend a brawny, intense end that will carry this wine into a long and enduring finish. How we got access to this is a miracle, and the man behind it all – perhaps even more compelling.
A few months back, I told you all about Saul Levine – the self-built, last-man-standing-independent radio pioneer of the Los Angeles basin, and one of the only in the entire USA. He still runs KKGO – even at 94 years old – and knows a thing or two about wines built to last. His sheer verve allowed him to buy a little chardonnay vineyard in Salinas in 1971 and he’s been making small amounts of wine under the Cobblestone brand for decades! They added this vineyard way up on Atlas Peak in 1997 – and deep, concentrated, and rich CABERNET SAUVIGNON is what. They. DO!!
And, man…are we glad they do, too! But that price! ONLY $25? For EPIC single vineyard Napa cab in its prime? That’s a $55 savings for the mathematically impaired (no shame, I used a calculator). If you love Napa cab, if you live for monumentally unbeatable deals – you simply CANNOT miss this!
While it lasts, good people!!!
Cobblestone Vineyards, named after the round river rocks found in their first vineyard, has been creating New World stunners since 1971.

About The Producer
Cobblestone is a small family-run operation that first began when Saul Levine, along with his wife Anita, purchased a 75-acre property in the Salinas Valley in Monterey County and planted it to chardonnay. Their philosophy is terroir-driven, they opt to plant only the best varieties for the terroir. In 1997, the Levine Family set out to introduce California-grown cabernet sauvignon to their repertoire– and no terroir does cabernet sauvignon quite like the Napa Valley. This pursuit brought them to Atlas Peak, where they purchased 25 acres at an elevation of 1,500 feet, northeast of the city of Napa. Their next pursuit was New World pinot noir, and just like that, they were off to Martinborough, New Zealand, where they bought a 10 acres just north of Wellington in 2008. At all three vineyard sites, the Levine family seeks to create limited-production wines that speak to the true nature of their terroir.
