BAROLO! Beautiful, bewitching, breathtaking, blissful BAROLO! 50% OFF, killer-vintage from our most-favorite-status friends at Negretti!! 94 POINTS!!

Um...it’s hard to write about Barolo without a glass of it. Excuse us...

OK, we’re back. That’s better. It is literally FILLING this office with that haunting, awesome, dried cherry, rose petal, black tea note...oh BABY! Be still my heart. Glad we discovered this awesome producer before James Suckling did (here is his tweet about Negretti)! Hey James, come visit -- we've got a warehouse of things to try!!! We'll order pizza! It'll be fun!

94 points! What a price! The wine? Well, as above, REDOLENT with warm fresh and dried fruits, roses, licorice, camphor, aromatic wood and killer, big structure with tons of power and grace. So good!! 2013 is a fine vintage and the wines are rich and powerful --- this is a wine to HOLD ONTO -- get enough to keep some for a decade, or two, or three…

Not a lot! While it lasts..!

A balanced complexity between red and black fruits, winter cherry and white flesh, spicy notes and face powder. This is the nose of this Barolo, which was born from the encounter of the different Cru of the property. Intriguing and fresh in the mouth, it can guides the tasting among its elegant tannins and mineral flavor with a great style.

About The Producer

The Negretti family’s roots have always firmly set in their passion and love for wine. It was this bond with the world of the Langhe that finally led us to set up our own winery in 2002 amidst the gentle hills surrounding the village of La Morra.
As young as this dynamic, enterprising venture may be however, the past has not been forgotten in the traditions handed down from great grandparents, who were wine growers and producers way back at the beginning of the last century. The company philosophy is based on the constant, persistent pursuit of quality. The ongoing commitment of brothers Massimo and Ezio, is to dedicating all their attention in person to both the vineyards – worked in keeping with traditions and the territory – and the product that results from the various steps involved on its way to our glasses. The estate stretches out over around 32 acres of vineyards on prime wine-growing slopes in the villages of La Morra, Roddi and Monforte d’Alba.
